SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
Florida State is one of only two collegiate schools in the nation that have a circus. This circus has been in full effect since 1947 and is celebrating 65 years of performances now in 2012. FSU encourages all students to join and participate in the circus every year for a very unique learning experience. These students, who are somewhat circus amateurs, put on the whole production and make it what it has become today. Many are surprised at how great the show actually is.
The only catch is, the circus opens exclusively in the spring season for about a month so time is limited. As of right now, only six more shows remain so you better go while you can. The show is cheap, fun, different, and hey, there are funnel cakes so why wouldn't you go? For information about locations, tickets, and show times be sure to check out their website: FSU Circus.
