UNH's reigning Miss University, Jillian Granucci '12, competed this past weekend at Pinkerton Academy for the chance to be Miss New Hampshire.
Having never done a pageant before in her life, Jill first snagged the title of Miss University last December when she decided to compete on a whim. Apparently she's a natural, because not only did she tie for Best Swimsuit and win Best Interview, but she took home the whole title.
Next up was the big leagues: Miss New Hampshire. Jill spent months preparing for the competition and spreading the word about her involvement because the contestants with the most popular votes would automatically be placed in the top 12. And her hard work paid off. After three long days of talent, interview, swimsuit and evening wear, Jill was in the top 12.

For someone with very little pageant experience, this was a huge accomplishment for Jill. She credits her success to her incredible support group filled with friends, family, and Alpha Chi Omega sisters. A huge congrats to Jill for her achievement, keep making us proud.
