Six To Be Inducted Into UNH's Athletic Hall Of Fame

On Saturday, June 23rd, 2012 at 6pm in the Lundholm Gymnasium, six former Wildcats will be inducted into UNH's Athletic Hall of Fame.

Greg Blaisdell, class of '03, competed in alpine skiing and was a four-time NCAA All-American. He was a member of the All-East team for all four years that he attended UNH and also received the University's Jim Urquhart Award in 2003 for student-athlete of the year.

Darren Haydar, class of '02, is acknowledged as being one of, if not the best hockey player in UNH's history. He was named to the Hobey Baker Hat Trick in 2002 as one of the US's top three players. He amassed numerous awards during his time at UNH and also went on to play in the AHL and NHL after graduation.

Stephan Lewis, class of '02, was the best combination rusher/receiver in UNH's football history at the time of his graduation. He's a three-time winner of the Bill Knight Trophy as the MVP of the UNH/UMass in 2000, 2001, and 2002 as well as the winner of the Coca-Cola Gold Helmet, which named him New England's top player. He was also named a member of the AFCA All-American First Team, the All-New England Team, the All-Atlantic 10 First team, and the All-ECAC.

Nicole Mullins, class of '94, led her gymnastics team to the '94 ECAC Championship and a school-record number 12 national ranking. She was named ECAC Gymnast of the Year, ECAC All-Conference and named part of the NCAA All-Northeast Team.

Ellen Weinberg, class of '92, lettered in ice hockey, soccer, and lacrosse at UNH. After winning multiple ECAC titles and graduating from the university, she went on to win a silver medal at the 1992 World Championship as a hockey player on the US National Team.

Last but not least, Jim Jeannotte, was honored with the Joan Leitzel Award for his service as the long-time radio voice of the UNH football and basketball teams. He was also named NH's Sportscaster of the Year an astounding 23 times.
