One Small Step For Weed In New Hampshire

On Thursday, the New Hampshire House of Representatives passed a bill that would "decriminalize less than a half-ounce of marijuana", according to The Concord Monitor.  It just eked by, passing by one vote, 162-161 with one voter abstaining. This means that the bill now goes to the Senate.

Although I'm ambivalent on whether pot becomes legal in NH, or anywhere in America for that matter, I have to say that it's not looking good for this bill in the coming days.  It only passed by one vote in the House and you've got to think that it will be an equally close battle in the Senate, not to mention John Lynch has already set his sights on vetoing it should it even reach him.  Still, for supporters of marijuana decriminalization it's a step in the right direction.

The expression I imagine will be on the Governor's face should the bill cross his desk.  Actually, that's the expression I imagine is always on his face.
