UNH Offers Events To Begin Spring Semester

No one likes to go to classes. Here at UNH, we've got some activities to do once we're done with reading spring semester syllabi and doing arm curls with our new textbooks.

Friday night the Museum of Arts in the Paul Creative Arts Center will be opening with some new additions. Nineteen pieces, from prints to sculptures, have been brought to the museum and will be on display at the reception from 5-7pm. Photographer Chris Jordan will be showcasing his collection, Running the Numbers, as well. Below is one of my favorites from him taken at the Namunyak Wildlife Conservatory in Kenya.

Snow has finally arrived and if you're lovin it join the Outdoor Adventures crew for a day of ice climbing. On Saturday they'll be heading to the White Mountains and will take anyone along for $20; gear and transportation are icluded. Sign up by noon on Thursday at the Recreation Center front desk.

Everyone has moved in so the sports games are going to be packed. Women's basketball against University of Maryland, Baltimore College will start at 1p.m. on Saturday. By 2p.m. the women's ice hockey team will face off against University of Vermont. Sunday the men's ice hockey team plays Boston College at 7pm. Join the Wildcat Army and cheer on our student athletes.

Thanks for the killer activities to get us off on a good foot Prez Huddleston.
