Review: Chef's Table For A Pyschadelic Eating Experience

If you’re looking for a cool, quick, and delicious place to get a bite to eat in Fairfield, CT, make it a priority to stop by Chef’s Table on Post Road.

The restaurant is filled with psychedelic decorations, band posters, and lava lamps. When a live band isn’t playing, music from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s streams through the speakers.

Almost anything you can think of to eat, you can find at chefs table. The menu features a salad bar, a soup bar, wraps, sandwiches, breakfast, smoothies, coffee, baked goods, kids classics such as mac and cheese, and an array of other delicious dishes.

My personal favorite is the famous Turkey Chili with corn bread on the side. The ultimate comfort food meal.

Chef’s Table also consistently wins the Connecticut Reader’s choice award, most recently in 2011.

When the owner, Rich, is there, everything runs like a well-oiled machine. Sometimes though, you have to have a bit of patience with the spacey employees, which is the only downfall of the eatery.

Grade: B +
