Bar fights, drunken punches, disorderly conduct... typical weekend here in RI. However, these things usually occur over something a little more exciting than a $4 bar tab.
Adam Desjardins, 22, from Wallingford, CT, was arrested back on March 4 around 1 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct after getting into a fight with a bartender at Charlie O's.
According to police, Desjardins became angry when asked to pay his $4 tab during last call. For some reason, he refused and an argument ensued between him and the female bartender. Desjardins then threw his drink in the bartender's face.
Desjardins was then escorted out by staff and handed over to police as he continued to yell obscenities and be a drunken mess.
FOUR DOLLARS? Really though, even if it wasn't my bar tab or it was somehow a mistake, I would probably just hand over $4 and be on my way.
Some guy's trying to steal your girl and you wanna punch him... sure why not. Some bro walked by and pushed you a little too hard... go ahead and push back. But a $4 tab? I'd suck that one up and cut my losses.
