The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) hired Boston Dynamics to build a fast, agile robot for what we can only guess as a robot to go places we aren't suppose to be and to leave very quickly incase something goes wrong.

Boston Dynamics hit the drawing boards and came up with what they have coined as the Cheetah Robot. 

Cheetah was first designed four years ago to hunt down human suspects that had gotten away. Just recently the Cheetah got a few upgrades and broke the robot speed record, clocking in at 28.3mph (faster than Usain Bolt)

Boston Dynamics has high hopes for Cheetah and believes that they will soon have her up to 70mph.
