For those of you not hip, urban fashion is what's going on right now. It's a style that is reminiscent of it's inner city origins with tough designs and a cool, vintage feel. One of the best urban clothing outfitters around the Boston area has got to be upstart company Ivy Material. Ivy Material is great because they encompass both the style and musical trends of the time, utilizing a blog format to bring viewers access to the best new songs and styles.

In a recent interview the co-founder of the company Kevin Riggs answered a few questions about the concept of the Ivy Material clothing line. Riggs said he was driven by the idea of "providing an outlet for style and music as well as stylish urban apparel at an affordable price." He sure has got a great start as well with several great design concepts for clothing and a growing local fan base. All designs for the apparel are based on Riggs' and his partner Carlos Mena's designs, Riggs' favorite being his new Olympian tee. What a great time for the design. When asked what the inspiration for the name of the company was Riggs responded "Ivy comes from the Ivy League, an elite group of individuals with a pursuit of constant progression." He then followed with his lines demi mantra "Are you Ivy Material?"
