SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
No Derek Jeter isn't really going to miss the season due to a sex change operation, clearly you've seen one too many Wachowski films if you believe that. Right now there are a slew of stories goping around, the topic of which are MLB team's Facebook fan pages that got hacked. Although many teams were targeted, the antics pulled by the hackers range in degree of severity, tact and humor for that case.
The most notable and possibly the most laugh worthy of the lot was the hack that affected the New York Yankees fan page. A status update was made by the hackers to the dismay of the Yankee faithful - surely it hit the pleasure center of Red Sox Nation - it read as such:
This could have been big news for AL East contenders looking for a break in their playoff chase, guess you'll have to be the evil empire the good old fashioned way this season. The Yankee's post, although it could pose some controversy in the wrong crowd, didn't seem to be as much malicious as it was laugh inducing. On the other hand the post that hit the San Diego Padres fan base is truly upsetting. It "STONGLY DISCOURAGED" the teams handicapped superfans from attending games.
