The Biebs Gets Busted

Justin Bieber had another “run-in” with the paparazzi. This time it was a high speed chase down a Los Angeles freeway.

On Friday, the Biebs was pulled over for speeding. He was cited for driving his Fisker Karma, a luxury hybrid-electric roadster, at 80 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone. Bieber told officers he was being chased by paparazzi.

Councilman Dennis Zine, L.A. city councilman and LAPD reserve officer, was driving on the freeway at the time and claims Bieber roared past him at 100 mph with six or seven cars trailing the roadster. Zine further claimed the singer was driving in a careless, reckless fashion.

Zine said the California Highway Patrol received about ten 911 calls from other motorists about the incident. He believes Bieber should have been arrested and stripped of his driving privileges.

Highway Patrol spokesman, Saul Gomez, says the police are still investigating the incident. They are currently trying to obtain information about the paparazzi. Once more information is uncovered, the CHP can look into other violations that may have occurred.

Despite his determination to maintain a clean image, Bieber has encountered several unsavory moments in the public eye. First there was the paternity suit filed against him by Maria Yeater. In May, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department investigated a complaint that Bieber “roughed up” a TMZ celebrity photographer. His image took another hit when he hung up on a Detroit radio show after the DJ made comments about his mom and boy band friends. The DJ even had the audacity to compare Bieber’s voice to Justin Timberlake’s (who will always be superior in every way).

We can only hope these recent events are mere teenage growing pains. We wouldn’t want the Biebs to bring shame upon his tween girl fan base or the great country of Canada.
