Serena Williams has been through a tough two years which has included foot surgery and blood clots in her lungs, nearly taking her life in 2011. Despite all this, the American has once again regained the Wimbledon title after defeating Agnieszka Radwanska from Poland in 3 sets. The match ended 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 and gives Serena her fifth ladies single Wimbledon championship, tying her for third most of all time.

This win, however, was extraordinary gratifying for the famous tennis player given the long road she has had to overcome, not only due to her injuries and medical conditions, but certainly also because of the auto-immune disease her sister, Venus Williams, had, putting both a physical and mental strain on the legendary American.
It is great to see such an incredible driving force from a public figure, it certainly inspires myself to give it that little extra.
