SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
We've all been there - you've procrastinated your whole semester and now have one night to do a massive project. What most of us would do is pound some Red Bulls, step away from Facebook and crank that sucker out. But one 22-year-old Brazilian woman decided to take the weirder, and much more illegal approach.
Susan Paola Fadel Correia of Belém admitted to authorities that she made up a story about being kidnapped in order to avoid handing in a school project. Fadel told police she was abducted by three men and held captive for 24 hours before she managed to escape, however, Fadel confessed to actually having spent the day at a friend's house.

Police have charged Fadel with making false accusations, a crime which carries a potential sentence of six months behind bars.
