Just weeks before his July 17th Channel Orange album release, singer Frank Ocean has decided to let the public in on his secret...he's gay. Ocean posted the picture below on his tumblr page, ending speculation that started a few days ago about his sexuality after the album was previewed for music  critics. In it he reflects on his first true love, with a man, and talks about the feelings that accompanied that relationship. 

Interestingly enough, the R&B crooner is a member of the hip-hop collective Odd Future, a group known for their blatantly homophobic lyrics--amongst other things. However; the group's leader, Tyler the Creator, gave his...ugh...support on twitter: 

"My Big Brother Finally F**king Did That. Proud Of That Ni**a Cause I KNow That Sh*t Is Difficult Or Whatever,"

Ocean has steadily been on the rise the past year or so. With that being said, this is a bold move at this point in his career but it is exciting to see him both comfortable and confident enough to be honest with his audiences. Lines four through eleven are the most revealing in the screenshot.
