We can all agree: the new Star Wars trilogy came pretty close to eviscerating the entire series.  Subpar acting, poor writing, Hayden "IHATEYOU" Christensen; they all worked together to practically ruin the most iconic sci-fi movies of all time.  

Phantom Menace had Liam Neeson and Darth Maul, but also young, little shit Anakin and one of the crappiest lightsaber duels ever.  Attack Of The Clones?  Did anyone actually see the second movie?  I have yet to watch that one, and don't think I will ever care enough to do so.  At least Revenge Of The Sith was an epic conclusion, had a nice long bout between Anakin and Obi-Wan, but again was plagued by the most laughable scenes ever, this one especially.

This is why people tend to dislike George Lucas now; he took his beloved tale and turned it into muck.  Leaving us to ask: what happened to the Star Wars that we used to know?

Do you think Gotye knew people would parody the hell out of his song?  I almost died when the chubby dude starts to sing.  The lines in this remake hit every nail on the head about Star Wars fanboy gripe, myself included.  Jar-Jar sucked, rereleasing Phantom Menace in 3D was so James Cameron, and for the last time everyone, HAN SHOT FIRST.
