FX has recently established itself as one of the major networks for high-quality cable comedy programs. Most people are familiar with hits like It's Always Sunny and The League, but Louie is quietly becoming the top-dog.

Louie is loosely based on comedian Louis C.K.'s middle-aged, semi-troubled life. Louis C.K. brilliantly mixes stand-up comedy with slow-building satire. But the true greatness of Louie is its randomness. Most episode's segments have little correlation with each other and the script often feels ad-libbed. Literally anybody can appreciate the show's humor and I highly recommend giving it a shot. I'm sure not the only person anxiously awaiting the season 3 premiere.
