SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
If you too have completely and shamelessly bought into the Pinterest fanaticism here is some justification for your obsession. To you Pinterest haters, here is why Pinterest might not suck quite as much as you think:

1. Pinterest allows you to indulge the fantasy life you’ll probably never achieve. You can “pin” clothes you’ll probably never be able to afford or fit in to, places you’ll probably never go, and workouts you’ll probably never do. And really, who has that much time to cook and do crafts? Who is even that crafty? Best of all, this Pinterest fantasyland allows you to procrastinate instead of doing anything productive. Productivity is for people who go on 9-mile runs and do crafts for fun. I’d rather spend my time pinning.
2. Since Pinterest is hooked up with Facebook and your vast array of Facebook friends, your acquaintances-on-a-good-day can now be even more involved in your life. Your “pins” automatically post to Facebook, so not only fellow Pinterest users but the entire Facebook community can be awed by your selections. Your friends can now see just how artsy you are, and continue to be wowed by your impeccable taste in just about everything.
3. There’s a meme out there in cyberspace which says “Pinterest is the chick flick of social networks.” So true. Few would deny that Pinterest is marketed primarily to women. I’ve had to be dragged away from my box of Franzia and my pinboards on multiple weekend nights. Yet this particular social network knows its market exceptionally well. It goes along with “tomorrow,” or “I’ll start on Monday” diets. As you hone your pinboards, you can actively believe that maybe tomorrow you’ll get a job which would allow you to buy all this cool shit, or cook some of these recipes. Then you can return to your cynical spot on the couch. If this isn’t you, well then maybe you’re just less lazy and craftier than I am.
