SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
With summer fully upon us, it's time to break out this season looks.
1. Floral Bottoms

Floral bottoms are popping up again this season, reminiscent of a 1950’s beach go-er. Floral skirts come in and out with seasonal changes, but this season floral cropped pants and high-waisted shorts are spicing things up. Pair with a solid oxford or oversized soft tee for a perfect summer ensemble. Try Zara's Satin Trousers with Flowers or H&M's Flower Pants.
2. Silk collared blouses

No longer are silky oxfords reserved for working women. This shirt can be found on the young and old, hipster and preppy, fun and conservative just the same. You will find them in a myriad of cuts, colors, and patterns. Also the collar is of utmost importance this season, often taking on its own color, material, or embellishment. Try Romwe's light green blouse or Top Shop's Slit Back Chiffon Shirt.
3. White Canvass Sneakers
Though the “do not wear after Labor Day” rule may not apply anymore, white is still the color of the summer season. White Canvas sneakers are a perfect way to model the color and can be paired with more than just your gym outfit! These sneakers can even be paired with a dress or skirt this season (without giving off the “I was just wearing heels all day” look). Since they are completely versatile and comfortable too, there is really no one to go wrong with this shoe. Try a pair of white Converse sneakers ot J. Crew's Jack Purcell shoe.
4. A Chambray Shirt
This staple is more versatile than a jean jacket as it can be worn buttoned as a shirt or as a light throw. In addition, this shirt also makes a perfect pair with the many alternatives to jeans that emerged this season: e.g. brightly colored pants and shorts, floral bottoms, and pastel-hued pants. It offers a wonderful palette for all your favorite summer jewelry. Try Madewells' Perfect Chambray Boyfriend Shirt or Urban Outfitter's Lark Wolff By Steven Alan Chambray Shirt.
5. Pastel Pants

Pastel pants offer another stylish way to stand out this season. Favorite colors this season are faded pink and sea foam green. Pair with a silk collared shirt, a chambray shirt, or a white tee. Try Zara's Pop Slim Fit Denim or Free People's Candy Stretch Skinny Jean.
