Tarantino's "Django Unchained" Trailer Drops

Django Unchained

Writer/director Quentin Tarantino has given us quite the arsenal of genre-inspired films since his film career began with his directorial debut "Reservoir Dogs," and the mastermind seems to be getting better with age.

This week, we have been graced with the presence of the first trailer for Tarantino's newest film, "Django Unchained" - a movie about a slave-turned-bounty hunter in 19th century Mississippi who seeks revenge against those who captured his wife. For those of you that don't remember, Tarantino's last movie was the 2009 hit "Inglourious Basterds."

The cast of "Django Unchained" is absolutely incredible, with Jamie Foxx starring as Django alongside Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Kerry Washington and many others - including Leonardo DiCaprio, who sports a magnificent southern accent in the trailer, and there are rumors circulating that Michael Fassbender has joined in on the fun as well. Watch the trailer below.

I am truly glad that, after seeing this trailer, it looks like Tarantino is handling this highly controversial material as a comedy. This film is undoubtedly going to offend A LOT of people, especially Americans, but we have grown to expect nothing less from QT. "Django Unchained" is set to come out on Christmas Day of this year 2012, the best Christmas present I could ever ask for - a Tarantino movie.
