Now that the New Year's Eve hangover is finally over (well, hopefully) there is a place in Providence that must be explored by all of you Rhode Islanders who love beer, especially in large quantities. Spat's Pub and Restaurant, located on 182 Angell Street, Providence (right on a corner off of Thayer Street) is the home of one of the most amazing beer dispensing mechanisms that I have come to discover in my young life. This concoction is called "The Vessel", and the name alone should be intriguing enough for you. The Vessel holds a monstrous amount of beer (180 oz. to be exact) and sits proudly on your table while you and three other friends enjoy (there is a minimum of four people per table if you want to order it). It comes equipped with its own little spout, ready for you and your friends to enjoy!

It's good for about 3-4 beers a person, and one Vessel comes to about $40. That my friends is a delicious and intoxicating (in every sense of the word) deal. My beer of choice was Bud Light, but it comes in a variety of other ones as well.
