A 17-year-old Australian girl recently posted a photo of herself on Facebook with a "large sum of cash", which (surprisingly) resulted in her mother's home being robbed hours later.

According to BBC, two masked men invaded the mother's home demanding the cash. When the mother told the robbers that her daughter no longer lived there, they to took a small amount of petty cash and some personal effects. No-one was injured in the incident.
It's still unclear how the robbers found the home address off of Facebook, especially since the photo was taking at the girls grandmother's house in Sydney (75 miles away).

It turns out that the girl was only helping her 72-year-old grandmother count the money for her records. And it also turns out that you should probably never post photos of large sums of cash on Facebook... who knew?
