James Harden's Emergence As An NBA Star

The Oklahoma City Thunder are now one of the championship favorites this year according to the public mainly because of the two headed monster of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant but let's not forget about James Harden.

Harden just claimed his first sixth man of the year award and is much deserved. He is easily overshadowed because of the two stars he plays with night after night, but Harden brings a lot to the team and has some intangibles that Westbrook and Durant don't quite possess.

You probably wonder what I mean right? Well Harden can score the ball and is known as the best play maker on that Thunder team. Westbrook and Durant are pure scorers but James Harden can score, pass, defend, and even rebound.

When Durant and Westbrook struggle to score, Harden can play point guard and takeover the game like he did in the Dallas Maverick series.

In this year's playoffs, Harden has simply exploded as he is averaging about 18 points a game and has about 5 assists with close to 3 steals a game.

This guy has potential but what makes him great is that he is humble and reserved. After the Metta World Peace incident, Harden has still stayed calm and collective and even raised his level of play. If Harden continues to play this way, expected to see the Thunder raise a banner in Oklahoma City in June.
