SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
With all this rain there's no denying... Spring is here. Start fixing those winter toes for sandals. Start dusting off the frisbee for Polish horseshoes. And most importantly start prepping those apartments with spring cleaning.
Whether you're moving apartments, moving home or staying put it's always a good idea to catch spring fever and clean your shit. I'm talking to you-- the person who lets ramen noodles cling on the microwave and lets left over food cake on dirty dishes. Take these tips from GoodHousekeeping for an easier spring cleaning.

Nasty Microwave? Microwave a bowl of water with squeezed lemon for 5 minutes. It will losen the grime that you lazily let stick to the walls.
Mommy-do-my-dishes-syndrome? If you've been putting off dishes until the next time your mother visits-- grow up. With piles of dishes come caked on messes. Try mixing a little bit of salt with liquid dish soap to create a gentle scrub.
Dusty Walls? When it comes to swiffers... think outside the box. Be like Lionel Richie-- Dance it on the ceiling.
Filthy Windows? Try cleaning windows on a cloudy day (shouldn't be hard in Spring!) Streaks dry on in sunlight.
Garbage Disposal Smells? If you're lucky enough to have a garbage dispolsal-- don't abuse it! Grind ice cubes into it to clean blades and kill odors.
Got a pet? Cookie spray pet dishes before serving your wee one food to avoid caked on messes.
Missing a Paper Towel/ Toilet Paper Holder? Nothing is more grody than keeping your toilet paper on the ground. A cheap and easy solution-- cut or bend a clothes hanger.
