SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
It's Monday, so of course it is an appropriate time to discuss how you will drown your sorrows.
As a recent grad, or still in college, you understand the need for a good drink every once in a while. However, as either of those things, you are also most likely strapped for cash to buy the good stuff.
Have no fear, just because you have to settle for the $6 bottle of Popov doesn't mean you can't enjoy a good drink.
The folks over at Gizmodo found a way to make even the lowest shelf vodka taste like it belongs somewhere in the middle (hey, they aren't wizards, nobody can turn bottom shelf to top sorry).
The tools you need:
Coffee filters
Two funnels (or plastic cups with holes cut in the bottom)
Regular drinking glasses (two should do)
Cheap vodka that you hate
The key ingredient: Activated carbon
At a cost of $25 you are still saving huge. So go ahead, have another.
