SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.

It’s the least wonderful time of the year. You come back from a rockin’ vacation, and you've got a few more weeks of school staring you in the face. Maybe you’ve been on top of your shit all along, but for those of you that are no work and all play, you’re gonna need some help.
Since it goes by faster than you know, these are some tips that will help you finish the semester strong, while keeping you from being sentenced to summer school.

Read. Now would be a good time to take your book out of the shrinkwrap and open that bad boy up if you haven’t already. Unless you have a photographic memory, you’re going to have a hell of a time remembering all that info if you don’t get started ASAP. Luckily, if your tests aren’t comprehensive, you don’t have to read all of it.

Get a Study Buddy. There’s no need to suffer alone, so find someone to endure the torture with you and it won’t be so bad. Try to get a pattern down so it’ll fit easily into your routine. Just like with sex and working out, it’s always more fun when you have a partner.

Find Out About Extra Credit. Even if it’s not offered up front, you might be able to get your professor to whip some up now.Better yet, come prepared with ideas of your own, then you’ll look like less of a slacker. Either that or see if you can re-submit your assignment. Your negotiation skills should be at an expert level by now, anyway.

Manage Your Time. If you’re unorganized, pull your shit together and get that way. It’ll save you a lot of trouble and you’ll still be able to have a social life.Write down all your important assignments so you can visually see how much time you need to get it all done. Instead of sitting on your ass for 30 minutes doing nothing, go over the notes you took in class.

Fix Your Sleep Schedule. Functioning under the assumption that you slept on Spring Break, you probably didn’t knock out until 7AM. That shit is not gonna fly when you start classes again. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep, so that whatever brain cells you didn’t kill getting hammered can work properly.
