Peyton Manning Chooses Denver

Peyton Manning has finally chose a destination for the 2012-2013 NFL season. According to reports from Chris Mortenson and Adam Schefter of ESPN, the future hall-of-famer has chosen to take his talents to Colorado. Manning reportedly called John Elway, the Broncos VP of operations and told him his intent to play quarterback for Denver, agreeing to a reported $95 million, five year deal. Manning also called the Titans and 49ers, two other teams that he was considering, to tell them that Denver is where he intends to play. This decision may come as a shock to some NFL fans after the Broncos made the playoffs last year, after having Cinderella season led by quarterback Tim Tebow. However, this decision by Manning essentially drives Tebow out of Denver.

There are many positives and negatives that go along with this decision. Yes, Manning is a proven Hall of Famer, but how he will recover from his shoulder injury is still to be seen. He will give the Broncos more leadership in the locker room and a great chance to win on every Sunday but how many more hits can the veteran take? One thing they will be losing with Manning is Tebow's mobility in the pocket. Luckily the Broncos have a decent offensive line and a good running attack. As for Tebow, it remains to be seen what the young QB has planned for his next move but something tells me it won't take long for him to find a new team.
