Legendary wide receiver and future hall of famer, Randy Moss, has reportedly rejoined the NFL as a 49er. Moss worked out  earlier in the day with the NFC West champions, and apparently seriously impressed.

Today coach Harbaugh tossed the pigskin with Moss and saw enough to offer him a deal right there on the field according to an unnamed source close to the team who spoke with the AP, however refused to give his name as the team has yet to make a formal announcement.

Hopefully with age Randy is going to bring some veteran maturity and leadership to the locker room that he has not always been known for and offer the Niners and Alex Smith that missing piece, a deep threat, to make a run at the Super Bowl in 2012.
