Five Ways To Prepare For Spring Break

If you are already on spring break, then hooray, you made it through the first half of the semester! For those of you that still have a little ways to go, here are a few things to prepare you for a much-needed break!

1.) Do Your Laundry- Nothing is worse than last-minute packing and learning you have loads of laundry to do. Get all your laundry done the day before you start to pack, and get it organized so you don’t need to go searching for your favorite top. (I like to color coordinate my tops so I can remember where they are.) Also, if you have time, wash your sheets before you go. Hopefully you wash your sheets on a weekly to bi-weekly basis, but coming back to fresh sheets will be the best decision you’ve ever made.

2.) Make a Packing List- If you can’t already tell, I’m really into being organized! Before you get too stressed with midterms or anything else heading into your last week of classes, make a list of what you’re planning to pack. (Beauty items, tops, pants, accessories, books, etc) If you’re heading home for break, make a list of anything you’ve been meaning to bring back from home to school while it’s still fresh in your mind!

3.) Do a Beauty Routine- We all want to look our best, no matter where we’re going, right? Besides hitting the gym (which we all definitely have time for during midterms) take a little time to have some  “me time.” Do a facial to get your skin looking fresh a few days before you plan to leave and a manicure the day before so it stays in tact for the week!

4.) Make a Playlist- Whether you’re in for a six-hour car ride or plane trip, it’s always good to have a playlist to get you pumped up! Make a playlist that will last you for a few hours with your favorite songs. (Some of my new favorites are Katy Perry’s “Part of Me,” Nicki Minaj’s “Starships,” and Karmin’s “Brokenhearted.”)

5.) Make a During/After Break To Do List- Yes, another list. If you plan ahead, you can enjoy your break and not stress about any forgotten assignments or things you had planned! Now, whether or not you look at the list over break is another story, but it’s always helpful to make regardless!

to do

Have good midterms and don’t stress, everyone! Spring break is here, go relax! And if you’re returning from break, have a good last half of the semester! :)
