SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
Students around New England were given a gift on Wednesday night –enough snow to cancel classes. But now they have more than enough snow to deal with. So I ask: Students, what are you gonna to do with it all?
Make yellow snow, of course. And not the kind that’s made with pee.

Everyone who doesn't live in the snow zone may be disturbed by this, but just to you are informed- "watch out where the huskys go, don't you eat that yellow snow" is a thing, meaning don't eat snow that has been peed on. However, there is a yellow snow that is quite delicious.
It’s actually called Snow Cream, and is made by taking the cleanest snow you can find, and mixing it with a few simple ingredients: milk, vanilla and sugar.
There are a ton of variations to this easy concoction, by adding things like chocolate syrup, frozen berries, or food coloring if the slightly yellow color of the standard recipe turns you off a bit.
Not only is this something you can do to ease the boredom of being holed up inside since Wednesday evening, it’s also a tasty treat that’s practically free. Just make sure to get out there and get some clean snow before it melts or gets plowed. The way this New Hampshire winter has been, this may be your first and only chance to make some Snow Cream.
However, if this doesn’t suit your fancy, you could always go out and make some of that yellow snow that you CAN’T eat.
