LIFT Fest 2012 Coming To Whaleback Mountain March 16-17

My love for rap, hip hop, and dubstep is evident and well documented on this site, but what you guys may not know is that my favorite band is actually Ghostland Observatory.  If you've ever seen them preform, you probably just read that and were like, "oh, truuuue girl; good call," because Ghostland Observatory is the most amazing show you will ever see.  But that discussion is for another time.  Right now, we're here to talk about LIFT Festival.

While on the Ghostland Facebook page last night I saw that they added a new tour date for LIFT fest.  I'd never heard of it before so I checked it out, and people: this fest looks DOPE and it all goes down in New Hampshire (yeeeeaaaa!  New England FTW)

All the cool winter festivals are usually in Colorado, or Florida, or California, or Utah, or anywhere that's not here, so I am very pumped to finally have one in our own backyard (about time, am I right?).  And this isn't even your typical Winter music fest, the best part about LIFT is that it's all about Skiing and Boarding too.

The tickets (which start at $150) are pretty affordable for a music fest to begin with, and on top of that include a two day lift pass for Whaleback.  So basically you ski/board all day, and jam all night.  I can't believe no one thought of this sooner, but apparently they haven't because this is LIFT fest's inaugural year.

So far the lineup includes Ghostland Observatory, Conspirator, Paper Diamond, Break Science, Orchard Lounge, Danger, The Indobox, Alpha Data, AIMES, and McLovins, with more acts soon to be announced (don't worry, we'll keep you posted).

For more information on LIFT Fest, check them out on their Facebook, Twitter, or on their website where you can find ticket and travel information, and anything else you need.

And, for all the broke college kids who are strapped for cash, LIFT fest still wants you there, and is down to let you earn yourself a ticket in exchange for some simple street promoting (because no man should be denied the right to party).  Click here for info on becoming a street team promoter, and get your boards & skis ready for the best Winter fest New England has to offer.
