Joe Paterno In Serious Condition

The epitomes Penn State football coach, Joe Paterno is reportedly nearing death.

Amongst controversy in November, it was revealed that Paterno was suffering from lung cancer. At the time many saw it as a stunt to take media attention off of the growing scandal.

Sadly, his cancer took a turn for the worse on January 21, when his family took Paterno off a respirator.

There are conflicting reports of his passing, with few members of the media citing an email sent to players informing them of his passing via the Twitter account OnwardState, however a family spokesman says this is untrue.

A Priest, along with his family have been called to the Paterno home as of 9p.m. Saturday.

Paterno was the head coach at Penn State for 45 years, from 1966 to 2011. He holds the all-time NCAA Div. I record with 409 wins.

***Update- The Paterno family has confirmed, Joe Paterno died on Sunday morning, January 22.
