SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
One thing I love is hazing. Now I am not talking about hog-tying 18-year-old fraternity pledges in a basement for a weekend or making anyone eat something that's not on the food pyramid. I'm talking good old fashion hazing. The kind that's not going to kill anyone or anyones hopes of being a normal human being.
As a soccer player throughout my years in high-school and early years in college (until it got in the way of my drinking) I loved to haze the newer recruits. The upperclassmen would make the rockies get water, run laps, or occasionally tie our shoes. It was totally harmless stuff and gave the rockies something they could reciprocate when they got older.
It turns out that the Timberwolves team has the same feelings that we did when it comes to hazing. Derrick Williams, Malcolm Lee and Ricky Rubio are all rockies at the Timberwolves and for some harmless fun the older players decided they would like the rockies to dance for them.
Oh how this brings me back. Keep up the good work Timberwolves, now only if you could focus that much energy on basketball you might be recognized as a national contender.
