SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.

Things aren’t going as expected for the Rhode Island basketball team this season, as five of six games have been lost, leaving the Rams with a 1-5 record. Experts point to the lack of experience on the team, when looking for an explanation to their less than stellar record; two of the five starters are freshmen while two others get significant playing time off the bench.
If the Running Rams had to pick a good time to turn things around, tomorrow would be that time. URI will travel to Providence to face in-state rival Brown in an all Rhode Island showdown. The two teams met last year at the Ryan Center, Kingston, RI, in a game that was dominated by the Rams; 92-67. This year could perhaps be much closer, as the inconsistencies of the newcomers have led to below average play.
The young Rhode Island team will take on Brown at 7.30 p.m. at the Paul Bailey Pizzitola Sports Center. P.S. Join SumoSkinny as we take on Bobby G’s, Wakefield, RI, tomorrow at 9.30 p.m. for our Mustache Bash!
