SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
Travis Porter, a misleading name for a group of three people rather than one individual, has been booked to perform on December 7th in the Student Union of UNC to celebrate the last day of classes and the end of the semester. Tickets are only $15 and students can buy two with their OneCard. They can also bring a guest, but the guest must either attend Carolina or another 4-year university in order to gain entrance.
The group is known for making fast-paced songs and rap music. The Carolina Union Activities Board, CUAB, is responsible for selecting the artists and creating the event. This is a surprising choice considering that the rappers are creative yet unruly and likely to stir up trouble while on campus.
However, they are well-liked by a large group of people on campus that are anticipating their arrival. Since this concert is during exams, it remains to be seen how many people will attend. Despite finals, a big number of attendees are expected because a break from studying is always welcomed. Plus, we’re really good at procrastination.
