Not many would have predicted a win for the Rhode Island Football team this weekend, against William & Mary, but the game is never played on paper. URI managed to win by a single field goal by Louis Feinstein from 27 yards out, late in the 4th quarter. The win puts URI with a chance to go 4-4 in the CAA, if they win out against James Madison and Towson in their last two games of the season.
Rhode Island native and starting quarterback Bob Bentsen, once again had a good game throwing for 157 yards to go along with two touchdown passes and a single interception, in the victory yesterday. Former starting quarterback, Steve Probst, managed to rush for 29 yards on 10 carries, as he was periodically subbed in to carry the ball for the Rams. Anthony Baskerville caught the ball 4 times for 65 yards, while tight end Joe Migliarese had 3 catches for 38 yards and a touchdown.
As mentioned, James Madison is next up for the Rams who will look to close out the season on a positive note, on November 12th @ 3 p.m. at JMU.
