As the first college campus to obtain a 3-Dimensional projector, UNH is making today all about it!

It will start off around 2pm on the somewhat boring side with a lecture for faculty and staff from the Vice President of Real D, Kevin Faul. While he talks about all of the ways to use this fancy thing for scholastic purposes, students will be anxiously awaiting the entertaining part.

The fun starts at 6:30 with the Red Carpet Event. Their will be a photo booth, games, activities and, I bet you some more free stuff! Located in the lobby of the MUB theaters, you'll have a prime spot in line for getting seats when the movies start.

For opening night, it will be a movie marathon with something for everyone. Our inner child will enjoy "Despicable Me" starting at 8pm. The mythical warrior in us all will love "Thor" playing at 10pm. And the action hero with a slight interest in romance will eat up "Transformers 3: Dark Side of the Moon" in a special midnight showing.

Each movie is free with a $1 charge for the reusable Real D glasses. At normal theatre's they make you give those back, but here at UNH, we're nice and will let you keep them so you can see movies in Real D all year long.

After tonight, prices will go back to their normal rates. Students will pay $2 for an SD movie; the public will pay $4. Students will pay $3 for a Real D movie and $2 for the reusable glasses; the public with pay $8 with the same $2 charge for the reusable glasses. Tickets for the regular season movies start selling an hour before the showing and there are 2 movies each weekend (Thursday through Sunday), each showing twice an evening. Cards and Cats Cache are accepted for any showing before 11 but after 11 only cash can be used.

So while things are cheap and fun, just what everyone wants, come on out to the movies!
