In case you didn't know, it's 2011 people (in fact it's almost 2012).  I don't know about you, but I had way higher expectations for us... like as a planet and all.  Cars that drive themselves, teleporting, x-ray vision; I thought we would have all that stuff on lock by now.  Now, thanks to Nike, we are one step closer to that future we all dreamed of.

Yes.  The self-lacing shoes from Back To The Future are finally set to be a reality.  Late last night, Nike sent out invitations for the shoes unveiling (taking place tonight).  The invitations came with throwback Pepsi & candy, iPod nano's, and a pair of Dr. Emmet Brown Metal Shield Glasses.  Yea, Nike is THAT real.

No word yet as to when the shoes will be released, but details will surely come out in the next few days.  Until then, you can watch this video, and try to act like your nipples didn't get hard.
