Nix The Beer Belly: 5 Favorite Low-Calorie Brews

College kids rejoice. Just because you drink, doesn't mean you are going to end up with a six-pack (of beer) gut.

If you want to lose that winter belly before summer it’s not going to be easy. You can do all the crunches and different diets that they have to offer but the fact remains that it's calories in, calories out.

Avoid heavy, ridiculous and pointless drinking, and for those who do drink heavy, here are a few of our low-calorie favorites:

1. Sam Adams Light

Sam Adams Light is heavy on the taste and low in calories. At 119 calories a bottle, it's a go-to for a night at the bar.

2. MGD 64

Yeah, it just looks and sounds like a girl beer, but trust us MGD gets the job done. The name says it all, the beer has just 64 calories a bottle. Perfect for a summer BBQ because it's light and refreshing, and won't fill you out.

3. Miller Light

I mean come on, you went to college. Miller Light is a staple of frat parties everywhere. At just under 100 calories you shouldn't feel bad about having a few.

4. Bud Light

Save 30 calories a bottle by switching from Bud Heavy to Light. Drink 5 to every 4 Bud Heavies.

5. Natty Light

It's a cheap, low calorie thrill.  At 95 calories it's perfect for everyone that can barely pay rent.

Don't want to give up all your drinking? Aerobic classes or a good ol' fashion run are what you will need if you want to lose that weight. Add in the crunches and weights to supplement your cardio.

Check out a few of our SUMO workout videos to help you get started.

Since we got yuengling in my area I've been loving the yuengling light; only 99 calories per can/bottle.
