Over the weekend, people from all over joined together in the Short North District of Columbus, Ohio to show their gay pride during the 31st annual pride weekend and all the festivities that come along with it.

As a college student I thought that I knew how to party and have a good time, but that was all proven to be wrong this weekend. This celebration consisted of a constant party all weekend long including live music, an underwear show, the largest drag queen show of the year and most importantly a place where people in the LBGT community can come and be themselves and be proud of who that is. However, it is also a place where plently of straight people come to show their support and join in on the fun. There were people of all ages, races and sexually in the Short North this weekend: it was an overall amazing and comfortable environment for everyone.

Once the sun went down the real party started and everyone was ready to let loose and enjoy the night. The drag queens started to arrive, the music got louder, tables were moved to make a dance floor and all everyone wanted to do was dance, even if everyone was packed in like sardines. The amount of people in the Short North was ridiculous and there was always a constant line to enter each bar and club. It was a non-stop party until the minute the bar closed at 2 a.m. and even then people still wanted to keep going.
