Many of us are still in shock after Austin River's game winning shot in Chapel Hill less than a month ago stunning the Tarheels.

Well last night, both schools renewed their rivalry in Cameron Indoor Stadium at Duke University. The 6th ranked Tarheels defeated the 3rd ranked Blue Devils last night to claim the ACC Title and arguably a number one seed in the NCAA tournament.
All Conference stud Kendall Marshall was disappointed about the Blue Devils playing highlights of the last second winning shot and hit the court move motivated than ever. The former Bishop O'Connell star led the Tarheels with 20 points and 10 assists.
Marshall commented, "it (the highlights) left a bad taste in our mouths... and we wanted to be able to come out and play well today."
North Carolina dominated the game in all aspects. They shot 54.5 percent from the field and out rebounded their rivals, 45 to 28. They played well on defense by holding last meetings hero, Austin River to only 15 points.
Clearly UNC knew they needed this win not only to claim the ACC title but for their mental state as well. Many thought the Blue Devils had all the momentum going into this game but the Tarheels showed heart and pride in a hostile environment.
I guess the big question now is, what seed in the tournament will UNC get? Regardless the Tarheels proved how good they are under pressure by beating a rival in a high pressure game.
