SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill doesn’t have too many hip hop events on campus. Even so, an interesting event comes around every once in a while. Local Chapel Hill performer J. SWISS recently finished his newest EP and is determined to get his name known around campus while promoting his music. He has partnered with undergraduate art majors at UNC to visually present his music as well as explain the thought process behind his lyrics.

A junior at the UNC, Julian Caldwell (aka J. SWISS) raps in addition to balancing an academic, extracurricular, and social life. He has also founded a website, www.2wordsthetop.com, and maintains it regularly with new music, video releases, interviews, and more.
This event is free and open to the public from 2pm until 5pm on Sunday, February 19th in UNC’s Ackland Art Museum near Franklin Street. The event will begin with the unveiling of art inspired by different musical tracks from Cool Grey, followed by an explanation of the pieces and a performance. Preview or buy Cool Grey here.
