SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.

It’s time for the annual Hunger Games and it looks like there will be two tributes from Boston. It seems as though the Davis Square Boston Sports Club is taking this trilogy seriously as it is now offering a free workout fit to train a Tribute. I’m sure you all have seen that e-card that reads, “I work out because I know I would’ve been the first to die in the Hunger Games?" Well, you should all take that seriously and start hitting the gym.
Starting March 29 through April 26 both members and non-members can train just like Katniss and Peeta to see if they have what it takes. Workouts include Capital Crunches, Peeta Presses, Fox Face Quick Feet and Jabberjay Jacks. Do you think you have what it takes to “Sprint to the Cornucopia”?
Not only is this workout going to get you in the best shape of your life, but it also will help you with your reflexes. BSC is actually going to throw in “disasters” to keep you on your feet. I’m guessing for this workout they had to change the release agreement to make it read “we are not responsible for any deaths due to spears and arrows being thrown.”
These workouts are on Thursdays at seven AM sharp so you will have to rise and shine pretty early. I wouldn’t be surprised if these skills did come in handy in some post-apocalyptic world. So head on down to Davis Square and get your fitness on. And may the odds be ever in your favor.
