Infatuated With Crush Boutique

Have you ever had an infatuation with a fabulous cocktail dress, a great shoe, or the perfect clutch? There’s a boutique for that. Crush, owned by best friend duo Laura Macris and Rachel Penner, was specifically made to cater to that innocent and flirtatious feeling. Back in 2007, they opened their doors on Beacon Hill, and with great success have now found another awesome location, right on Newbury Street.

We stopped by their opening on Valentine’s Day to see what new brands and goodies they had to offer. The store is so welcoming that it practically hugs you as you walk inside with the help of the warm colors on the racks and the friendly smiles from the associates. The clothing selection translates to a broad audience, featuring girly tops, colorful knits, and bright cocktail dresses. Holding down the fort is the ever stunning Alice & Olivia, Dolce Vita, and Wink NYC, while they also feature new designers to Boston such as Brandy Melville and Sam & Lavi.

Crush also paired up with G2O and Emerge Salons, which are practically right next door. Marisa and Justin, creative directors at G2O, were giving blowouts and hair tips, and in our goodie bags a free eyebrow and lip wax. Score! On top of that, we enjoyed some prosecco and and heart-shaped cookies while we got to shop around and meet all of the other Boston fashionistas.

So make the trip and check them out on 264 Newbury Street. We promise that you’ll be glad that you did.
