Fitness On A Budget At Liberty Hotel

Getting fit with a tight wallet can be tough. I know we all want that Spring Break body while at the same time being able to afford Spring Break. I’m the first to admit that gym memberships can seem really great at first, but once those payments start creepin’ up on you, it’s a huge letdown. So, some advice for you is just use your University’s gym and take advantage of Liberty Hotel’s Winter Workouts.

I can’t believe I haven’t heard of this amazing offer until now but The Liberty Hotel is offering complimentary group yoga classes conducted by Equinox. Complimentary, for those of you who are questioning this offer, means one hundred percent free. Even if you are not a patron of the hotel all you need to do is BYOM (bring your own mat).

Liberty Hotel offers many social events known as their “Liberty Affairs”. From Gallery Night Tuesdays to Fashionably Late Thursdays there’s something to offer all students around Boston. If you’re ever feeling like a classy night out in the city, this is the perfect place for you. With it’s breathtaking atmosphere it’s the perfect place to meet other Boston socialites like you. Here's the full list of Liberty Affairs.

The line up for Winter Workouts in the month of February includes pilates fusion, pranavayu yoga and vinyasa yoga. Pranavayu yoga is unlike any other kind of yoga because it’s challenging drive for physical and mental achievement that you might never have thought possible. It incorporates skeletal alignment, Buddhist-inspired poses and mental awareness and peace.

Vinyasa yoga can vary but usually includes breathing techniques that teach you to move from one position to another in one inhale or exhale. You usually burn somewhere around 445 calories per hour in this yoga technique which is the same as if you jogged for an hour.

The classes are held at the Liberty Hotel. For beginners in yoga or pilates remember to wear loose clothing, stay hydrated and warm up before each class.
