Albert Leslie Cochran died in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 8 of complications from a brain injury. Known as simply "Leslie," he was a celebrity in Austin, known for usually wearing some sort of leopard print and a thong. He could often be found walking around 6th Street, downtown and South Austin. Very friendly, he would always pictures with his many fans and loved his local celebrity status.

He was the epitome of "Keep Austin Weird" and Austin will not be the same without him. There will be a public memorial service on Sunday, March 11 at 2 pm, as well as a private memorial service for close friends and family.
