Minutemen’s Journey Continues- Next Stop Atlantic City
After coming off a huge win over the Duquesne Dukes on Tuesday, the Umass Minutemen will travel to Atlantic City for the A-10 quarterfinals.
The dynamic duo of Chaz Williams and Raphiael Putney continued their epic season combining for 41 points and 14 rebounds. Javorn Farrell also chipped in with what could be considered one his best games with 20 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds.
The Mullins Center was lively all the way until the end when the Minutemen finally pulled away from their opponent.
They will face the number one seeded (in A-10 conference) Temple Owls, tomorrow afternoon. The last time these two teams met was February 29th. Temple took the game in double overtime, 90-88.
Tip-off is set for noon and will be televised on CBS Regional/CSN NE. Let's see if the Minutemen can continue their season with a big upset.
