SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
We've all been there. Hung over, slept in, late for class, just hoping that we could figure out a way to teleport to the class room. We'll this isn't teleporting but it sure would get the job done.

Introducing SpnKiK, a pair of motorized strap-on shoes that can propel you up to speeds of 10 mph. Just strap on the SpnKiks to your regular shoes, grab your remote and rock down the street. The SpnKiks have a battery in the back which takes about two hours to charge and will take you between two and three miles on one charge.
Designer Peter Treadway (real or fake name?) came up with the idea for the powered shoes five years ago after frustration with finding a parking space. After 30 prototypes he has a product ready for production starting in February.
The remotely wheeled shoes are a great concept for the space-aged future but they have several flaws.
1. They are going to be around $500 which is fine for those people who wipe with dollar bills, but a bit over priced for the rest of us.
2. Are they actually practical? They can only go 10 mph which means they can't really get you from A to B quickly enough.
and 3. Haven't we gone down the personal movement devices route before and failed miserably? Yes, I think we did, it was called the Segway...
We would love to know if you would use this product. @theSUMOskinny with your answer.
