How to Get Ahead and Still Be a Slacker

Let’s play a game.

Would you rather, never taste again or never smell again?

Hmm interesting choice.

Would you rather be the President or Brad Pitt?

Yeah, we would choose Angelina too.

Would you rather study or watch Fast Times At Ridgemount High over and over on HBO? I’m going to assume you said the latter, because you seem like a pretty cool guy who likes pizza and the munchies.

Being a professional procrastinator takes work. Here is how to maintain your indolent lifestyle, still pass class, or maybe even reform your lazy ways.

Step one: make friends. Walk into class and start chatting up a few folks around you. Suggest you swap digits to share notes in case either of you are ever absent. While it is great to have people you can call on for what you missed, this may actually help you become a better student in the long run because now you have a buddy to call you out on missing so many classes.

Step 2: Create a study group and have everyone sign up for one of the many digital note taking and sharing websites.

Step 3: Join a Study Social Network.

-GradeGuru
The site allows you to create note sharing files and study groups from your class, along with the ability to find "study networks" of strangers who are also learning the same material. GradeGuru also allows you to share projects you are working on for feedback from classmates and total strangers.

For those of you looking to overhaul your lethargic ass and become a member of the Honor Roll look no further than Gradefix.

Gradefix allows you to upload notes, share files, schedule yourself out until the end of time and when you miss a class it automatically adjusts your schedule and shows you how to catch up.

-MyNoteIt

My Note works in much the same way as GradeFix, allowing you to schedule yourself, and your group, stay on top of your to-do list and more. This site however also offers external tools like grammar checks, term paper writing assistance and more.

Hey, even Spicoli had to do his homework before he could hit the tasty waves and get a cool buzz.
