SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
The holidays can be hard, especially when it comes to buying gifts. It can be hard to know what to get everyone, so let us help you out with gift ideas for everyone on your list.
Today, let's talk fathers. Dads can be the worst to buy for. If you're lucky, your dad has some some favorite sports team, or hobbies, like golfing, or grilling. If you're like me though, your dad is in the running for the most simple man on earth with no hobbies other than napping, hating technology, having a baller moustache, and just generally being the man. Naturally, this makes him very difficult to buy gifts for.
Last year he told me the only thing he wanted for Christmas was a Bernie Madoff mask. I am dead serious. How the hell do you get someone a sufficient amount of gifts for Christmas when the only thing they tell you they want is a Bernie Madoff mask? This is what I deal with people, every year. Having dealt with this man for 22 Christmas's, you can rest assured that I know what I'm doing when it comes to buying gifts for dads. So here are the perfect gifts for...
The Party Dad - If he's really cool, get him weed. Either he already smokes it, or he hasn't smoked it in years and would probably have a blast. If you're not on that level, get him Bottle Opener Cufflinks. If he's a big enough booze bag, he will cherish this gift, and be gleaming with pride at keen sense of humor and appreciation of his party-ness.

The Classy Dad - Scotch Rocks. If your dad is on that Mad Men swag, or just a booze bag, this is the gift for him. Every classy dad knows the pain of watering down a good scotch with diminishing ice cubes, make that nightmare a thing of the past for him with Scotch Rocks to cool his drink, without dimming it down.
The Geeky Dad - Portable solar powered charger. We mentioned this in an article a few days ago tooling on their ad's, but it really makes for a perfect gift. if your dads a techie, and has a lot of gadgets, he will surely appreciate this one.

The Old School Dad - NetFlix. Okay I know this sounds counter productive, but if MY dad can figure out NetFlix, so can yours, and this was one of the biggest hits for a present I've even given my dad. Don't feel bad when he doesn't like it at first, he's just mad old school and doesn't like change or anything to do with buttons, but he will grow to love it when he finds all his favorite old movies that he hasn't seen in years.
The Sporty Dad - Sports tickets. Obviously.
And there you have it. Happy shopping, and best of luck!
