SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
I have been a little under the weather lately. Sorry for being MIA, but let’s play catch up!
Who Sucks and Who Doesn’t?
As of today anyway...
Somebody has been stealing the glorious spotlight from our frontrunners Cain and Romney! Who could this man be? Gingrich has come a long way from almost being forced out of the race to win the White House to now being almost at par to Romney! He has been able to explicate and support fundamentally traditionalist principles like no one else while showing incredible progress during the past dates that have launched him back in to political orbit. Now, how do I know this? I’m a freakin’ genius that’s why…
According to a recent PPP poll and another poll conducted by CNN, Gingrich has been racking up the points. I won’t use numbers or anything, because most of us would say, “WTF does that mean!” So just know that Gingrich, once falling below radar is quickly picking up speed.
What is the most intimidating scenario to find yourself in?
Asking Newt Gingrich questions at the Republican Primary Debates!
Early this week Gingrich was asked to summarize in 30 SECONDS [YIKES!] how he plans to replace Obamacare. Taking no prisoners, Gingrich snickered and stated that it is absolutely impossible to summarize a topic as important as healthcare in 30 seconds. After his wise, but true remark, Gingrich completed the answer.
Gingrich’s Downfall
Might be a Rumor: Gingrich tried to divorce his wife on her deathbed! If proven to be true this could stir up quit the attention within the public’s eye.
Not a rumor: Gingrich had an extramarital affair. Gingrich, 68, is in his third marriage.
If he is anything like Cain, the American people won’t give two hoots.
The American people are too busy worrying about more important things than unfounded accusations. Economic issues (Health care, jobs, taxes, etc.) rather than social issues (gay rights, abortion, etc) have been determining voter’s decisions.
What about everyone else?
Cain and Romney, still frontrunners seem to be holding their ground giving America high expectations that we will be seeing them holdout for the long run. Paul and Gingrich will most likely joint them in the New Year.
And then there’s Santorum and Huntsman………………Both of whom should just call it a fun run and be done. I don’t expect any surprises out of these guys anytime soon.
Last but not least, there is Perry and Bachmann. It is too soon to count them out, but if they lose Iowa we can say goodbye! We are going to say goodbye eventually. There is one thing we can count on Perry and Bachmann for and that is a good laugh.
Example A: Bachmann states that in order to be less socialist it should be more like China….China is a communist country lady….
Example B:
